PattyCake Productions Releases “Charming,” Starring Jordan Litz
A comedic original song and music video about the guy you forgot was in the fairytale - The Prince.
Ask anyone to name the prince from Cinderella, Snow White, or Sleeping Beauty… and you’ll almost always get the same answer: “Prince Charming.” Which is impressive, considering only one of them is actually named that.
That observation sparked “Charming,” a comedic, theatrical take on what it might feel like to be one of these princes - after saving kingdoms, breaking curses, and delivering true love’s kiss - only to have history collectively shrug and say, “Eh… Charming.”
“Imagine doing everything right - saving the kingdom, breaking the curse, even having more screen time than the princess - and still being remembered simply as ‘the prince,’” say creators Tony Wakim and Layne Stein. “That contradiction felt really funny to us.””
Inspired by the sharp storytelling of Into the Woods, the song gives a voice to three iconic princes - Cinderella’s Prince, Snow White’s Prince, and Prince Phillip - reimagining them not just as romantic leads, but as capable rulers navigating the realities of leadership… while still being known primarily for “rescuing the princess.”
At its core, “Charming” balances satire with sincerity. The princes may be a little exasperated at being reduced to handsome accessories, but their love stories are still real - making the humor land with just enough truth underneath.

Litz, known for his record-breaking run as Fiyero in Wicked, brings charisma and comedic precision to the role - portraying the one prince who actually is named Charming, and perhaps the most tired of it.

Following recent collaborations with Broadway veterans Jessica Vosk, Eden Espinosa, and Rachel Potter, PattyCake Productions continues to create cinematic, story-driven musical content that reimagines familiar worlds from unexpected perspectives.
